Billing and Credits
Manage Talkturo credits, subscription plans, auto-reload, payment methods, and call billing costs across your workspace.
Understand your billing model
Talkturo bills usage with credits, not direct per-call invoices. Your workspace balance decreases as calls run, and you can add credits separately from your subscription plan.
Subscription plans and credits serve different purposes. A plan controls product access and included monthly credits, while top-ups add spendable credits for voice usage when you need more capacity.
Credits are consumed in real time as calls happen. If your workflows depend on phone calls, keep enough credits available or enable auto-reload to avoid interruptions.
How credits work
Each workspace has a credit balance that supports fractional usage. Talkturo can deduct small amounts such as 0.025 credits for short calls or partial usage, so your balance reflects actual consumption instead of rounding every event to whole numbers.
New workspaces start with 10 free credits. Talkturo adds and removes credits through a small set of transaction types, which appear in your billing history.
Credit exchange rate
Talkturo uses a base exchange rate of $1 USD = 2 credits. That exchange rate also applies to standard top-ups and auto-reload calculations unless a bonus credit promotion applies.
Transaction types
| Transaction type | What it means |
|---|---|
purchase | Credits added after a paid top-up |
usage | Credits consumed by calls and related usage |
bonus | Promotional or extra credits added to the workspace |
refund | Credits returned after an adjustment |
signup_bonus | Initial free credits granted when a workspace is created |
reset | Administrative credit balance reset or correction |
Because credits support fractional amounts, small calls and partial minutes do not overcharge your workspace. You pay for the underlying usage pattern, not a rounded bundle.
Compare subscription plans
Plans define your monthly base package. Credits included in a plan refresh monthly, while purchased top-up credits are separate from plan pricing.
| Plan | Monthly price | Included monthly credits | Includes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0/month | 10 | Public projects, unlimited collaborators |
| Pro | $100/month default | 400 | All Free features |
| Business | $200/month default | 400 | All Pro features, SSO, internal publish |
| Enterprise | Custom pricing | Custom | Dedicated support, custom connections |
Pro and Business pricing is dynamically set and may vary from the default amounts shown here.
Add credit top-ups
Top-ups increase your available usage balance beyond the credits included in your subscription. This is the amount you draw down during voice activity.
| Package | Price | Credits added |
|---|---|---|
| Starter Pack | $99 | 198 |
| Pro Pack | $349 | 698 |
| Business Pack | $499 | 998 |
| Custom top-up | Minimum $99 | Any amount above the minimum, converted at the current rate |
Bonus credits may apply when you buy through agent payment links. In those cases, Talkturo can add up to 20% extra credits on top of the standard conversion.
See how calls consume credits
Call cost depends on the components your assistant uses. Standard voice pipelines may charge each service separately, while realtime mode uses a single bundled per-minute rate.
Standard usage components
| Component | Billing unit | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Speech-to-Text | Per minute | Charged for transcribing live call audio |
| LLM prompt tokens | Per 1,000 tokens | Charged for model input |
| LLM completion tokens | Per 1,000 tokens | Charged for model output |
| Text-to-Speech | Per 1,000 characters | Charged for generated spoken output |
| Telephony | Per minute | Charged for phone connectivity and call time |
Realtime mode
Realtime mode uses a single per-minute rate instead of separate Speech-to-Text, LLM, and Text-to-Speech line items. That makes billing simpler when your assistant runs on a realtime stack.
Example cost calculation
A typical estimate uses these assumptions per minute of conversation:
- TTS output: 750 characters per minute
- LLM input: 600 prompt tokens per minute
- LLM output: 400 completion tokens per minute
With a standard stack such as Deepgram STT + OpenAI LLM + Cartesia TTS + Telnyx telephony, the blended cost is approximately 0.21 credits per minute.
That means:
| Call length | Approximate cost |
|---|---|
| 1 minute | 0.21 credits |
| 5 minutes | 1.05 credits |
| 10 minutes | 2.1 credits |
| 30 minutes | 6.3 credits |
These figures are estimates, not a fixed guarantee. Actual cost changes with call duration, speaking rate, token usage, generated speech volume, telephony routing, and whether you use standard or realtime mode.
A call with heavier model output or longer assistant responses consumes more LLM tokens and TTS characters, so two calls with the same duration may cost different amounts.
Configure auto-reload
Auto-reload keeps your workspace funded by charging your saved payment method when the credit balance falls below a threshold. This is the safest option if you run production phone numbers or scheduled outbound activity.
Auto-reload settings
Turn auto-reload on or off for the workspace.
Dollar amount to charge on each reload. The default is $10.
Credit balance that triggers a reload. The default threshold is 10 credits.
How reload credits are calculated
Talkturo converts a reload charge into credits with:
max(1, round(amount_usd × 2))
For example, a $10 auto-reload adds 20 credits.
Auto-reload requirements and behavior
- Auto-reload requires a saved default payment method
- Charges run through Stripe invoicing
- A successful reload can reactivate suspended phone numbers
- Reload happens automatically when the balance drops below the configured threshold
If no default payment method is available, Talkturo cannot complete an auto-reload. Low balances may interrupt phone-based workflows until you add a payment method or top up manually.
Understand desktop app plans
Close AI desktop access is billed separately from workspace voice credits. These plans control desktop seats, not call-credit balances for voice agents.
| Desktop plan | Monthly price | Seats | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Desktop Starter | $186/month | 1 | Single-seat plan |
| Desktop Pro | $373/month | 3 | Expandable with additional seats |
| Desktop Enterprise | Custom | Custom | Negotiable pricing and terms |
| Additional seat | $99/month or $1,188/year | 1 each | Add-on seat pricing |
If your team uses both desktop coaching and voice agents, manage these as separate budget lines: desktop seats for users, credits for call execution.
Manage payment methods and invoices
Stripe is the primary billing provider for Talkturo. Saved cards are used for purchases and auto-reload, and invoices are available as downloadable PDFs.
Talkturo also supports Lemon Squeezy as a legacy alternative in some billing flows. If your workspace uses that older path, you may see different purchase handling than Stripe-based billing.
What you can expect
- Saved cards support automatic reloads
- Stripe invoices provide a billing record for purchases
- PDF invoices are available for download
- Legacy Lemon Squeezy flows may still appear for older setups
Claim credit grants
Talkturo can attach credits to purchases made through agent payment links. These credits are issued as grants and move through a simple lifecycle before they affect a workspace balance.
Grant lifecycle
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
unclaimed | The credit grant exists but is not assigned to a workspace |
claimed | The grant has been applied to a workspace |
How grants are used
Workspace owners or admins can claim a grant into a workspace from the dashboard. When the payment link supports buy-and-clone behavior, Talkturo can also clone the source assistant into the destination workspace during the claim flow.
If you sell assistants through payment links, grants can fund usage immediately after purchase and reduce setup work by cloning the original assistant into the buyer's workspace.
Keep billing predictable
A few habits make credit usage easier to manage:
- Enable auto-reload before launching production calling
- Review per-call cost breakdowns to understand which components drive spend
- Separate plan budgeting from credit budgeting
- Watch for bonus credits when distributing agent payment links
- Keep a valid default payment method on file
